not only do I photograph my world with my Canon EOS 450D, I also use my iPod Touch 4 which is essentially an iPhone 4 without the phone part. I am totally addicted to the art of iPhoneography and posting my work on Instagram My username on Instagram is ilkasatticdotcom

 'home' ~ a recent digital piece that I have created -- being premiered at Fly on the Wall:) ~ It is titled 'Home'

about the artist

'I thrive on telling stories through my digital art; stories that the viewer creates based on the elements in the piece and the relationships between them. In this work what excited me was the imagery of the woman and how well her pose seemed to fit with the environment. I imagined her cresting the hill, halting in her tracks as the run down house came into view. So many questions were posed in my mind, as I am sure they would be in the viewer's mind. What is her relationship to the crumbling house? What is her emotional state as she views it? If it was her home was she happy there? The added texture of the old sheet music helped me to invoke feelings of nostalgia and remembrance.'

Susan Tuttle is a photographer and digital artist from Maine. She is author of the books Digital Expressions: Creating Digital Art with Adobe® Photoshop® Elements (North Light Books, April 2010) and Exhibition 36: Mixed-Media Demonstrations and Explorations (North Light Books, November, 2008). Susan teaches online digital art and photo manipulation classes with Photoshop and is currently working on her latest project of co-authoring a photography and mixed-media art book with Chrysti Hydeck.
