a bee
staggers out
of the peony
~ Matsuo Basho ~
I am falling wholeheartedly into work today flowing with a beautiful momentum ~ I feel a bit like a bee staggering out of a peony after my journey at Esalen and have been floating on Pixie's drum journey rhythms most nowwhere and everywhere in quite an exquisite trance.
The thing is I am magnificently enthused and looking forward to teaching Persisting Soul at the Wild Soul retreat in Somerset, England in September(just a few weeks!) and am seeding earth and sky into my workshops for that magical week. Erin Faith Allen has so sweetly found a bicycle for me as I will be taking a train to Croydon Hall a day early so that I might meander around the greenly leaping hills and find a pub for a pint of guiness or two.
I am wildly excited and searching for the perfect back pack to carry camera's and nourishment as I peddle over hills seeking enchanting portals.
Carrying forth my kindred ship with the Matrilumina women I am honored and ignited to bring this loving energy to the women I will be teaching in my workshops each day.
I feel most connected when I am sharing creativity with other women in an enlivening environment and feel so incredibly blessed to be invited to teach with Erin Faith Allen as she is gifted with the ability to reflect our own inner beauty back to everyone she connects with. In the next year I have three more retreats on the schedule where I will be teaching and can't wait to share the details with you in the near future.
The past few days I have been indulging in generous self care for myself in the best possible way to heighten creativity, joy and radiance so that I may infuse my work with evermore beauty. In the kitchen I have been cooking wholesome meals and blending invigorating green juices, each morning I have been recommitting to a wonderful, deep deep flow yoga practice followed by long walks with my sea bones down by the water's edge.
I have recently been gifted with some brilliant flower elixirs and perfumes created by the true and beautiful Katie Hess of Lotus Wei. Katie's 'infintie love' elixir has filled with me with a beckoning glow and heightened magnetism that leaves me completely delighted and astonished. Several times a day I add a few drops of this nectar into my water which contains essence of hong kong orchid, wild fireweed, pink magnolia (love!) orange hawkweed, pink lotus (my absolute favorite scent) and pink tourmaline for kindness and gentleness towards oneself.
I feel...well honestly I am experiencing a heightened attractiveness both inside and outside, a wellspring of intentional and unconditional love and a peaceful abundance of spiritual joy and goodness. I carry my beautiful glass bottle of 'infinite love' with me everywhere in my satchel and share it with everyone I meet.
And that's not all. I am completely besotted with Katie's 'infinite love' perfume. The scent is divine and alluring and infuses me with a lovely amber warmth that seems to be driving everyone quite batty. Often throughout my day I am asked 'what is that gorgeous scent you are wearing?'
The magic of Katie's essences and scents are their alchemical ability to step into the intention of the mood/presence you wish to embody in your life. 'Wei' is Mandarin for 'transformative action' and I love that this presence mirrors a dimension of my daily life that I wish to contribute to our planet through deeper happiness, creativity, radiance, inspiration, unconditional love, peace , healing and boundless joy.

I am wearing 'infinite love.' I feel like a love bandit:)

'Be like a flower and brighten every one's day.' ~ Karma Sangye Rapten ~
Katie Hess is a flower and her offerings do indeed brighten my days. On that floral note pop on by and pick a flower yourself. I am gifting Katie's serums to my sweetest daughter Tess and friends in the upcoming weeks. I may even gift myself a bottle of the Joy perfume because truly I am over the moon with my Lotus Wei scent.
On this amazing day I can hear the gulls swooping overhead in the garden making their way to the sea. I am wearing a peridot cardigan (autumn is singing her way into the season) and a plum skirt with chartreuse stockings. I feel invigorated with color, and deeply happy. So looking forward to my journey in England in just a few weeks with my renewed energies.
love,
♡

that first lovely photo is so gorgeous and full of life that I cannot stop looking at it.....I feel like it is a film and not a still photograph.....the beauty of it can't be taken in, it just keeps flowing...(trying desperately to put this into words!)...in any case, thank you for sharing it!!
ReplyDeleteDear Madelyn,
ReplyDeleteYour words and posts always make me feel happy in the very best, almost childlike way. I feel re-calibrated to note the truths of joy all around us and suddenly very distant from the hard teeth of what doesn't matter which, until the moment I read what you wrote, was biting down hard on my hem.
Cheers to you. You have a beautiful soul and a gift of grace.

ReplyDeletethis photo was taken one fine morning in the Esalen gardens ~ they
grow their own food there for the institute ~ I snapped a few other shots of this particular sweep of garden which had a sign that said 'saving seed crop ~ do not pick' and I walked between the rows of wildflowers seeding mightily
~ perfect metaphor for my creative energies at present
thank you for your words as I love this image:) xo
Dana ~ I love my posts to be a meditation on joy ~ we all have full plates
of things that can weigh us down so this is my way of uplifting my spirit
and it makes me feel so happy you feel it as well:)

I am sharing your joy for your beloved finding you
where do you live? Ireland?
I am ready to sink in to Fall too- it's my absolute favorite time of the year. While all of the seasons hold their specialness for me, Fall is magical. I love what you've written here about your time in Big Sur and the loveliness of Lotus Wei. Being someone wanting to expand in love, I've looked in to Infinite love perfume and elixirs- now I know to get them very soon. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI've flitted about the Lotus Wei website before but had forgotten about them until your timely post. Just ordered some infinite love elixir for myself and am very much looking forward to a transformation. It was so hard not to order one of everything :) thanks for sharing you are a beautiful and magical being.
ReplyDeleteone of your loveliest and most inspiring posts to date.
ReplyDeleteyou are in such a good and exciting place in your life right now!
with all of the wonderful experiences on your horizon and the all-embracing energy you are putting out you are bound to attract heaps and heaps of goodness!
i had a strong feeling that big sur would affect you in this way (even before i realized the beautiful tribe you would spend your time with!), and i have the same feeling about england-- particularly when explored on a bicycle!

yasmine ~ i know!
ReplyDeleteI was chatting with my friend Jen this morning and we were saying
how so many 'bottles' of this and that float through our cabinets through the
years and now I very rarely purchase things ~ I use my face oil
(will write about that soon actually) and I purchase essential oils for the
medicine cabinet and a simple soap but that's about it and now
well, each and every one of these elixirs will be a 'forever' in my home
they are so fun to share as well
sassysistersink
