My name is Madelyn and I am a writer, photographer and artist educator. I am also the creator of the 'Persisting Stars online courses. I have a fondness for morning coffee, the sea, polaroids, yoga, the color turquoise, champagne, indie films, poetry, vinyl records, Indian food...and loooong roadtrips. Oh yes, and dark chili spice chocolate.
Every day I wake up and think 'today is the perfect day to start something beautiful.'
I am also the creator of 'Open to Exposure' a photography course which was designed for preteens to help them express the raw and tender beauty of their inner worlds through images.
Five years ago I embarked on a trip to India with my son. India gave birth to the artist within me and changed the trajectory of my life forever simply because I dared to imagine something different, create an extraordinary life and make a difference in the world.
It is my wish that your experience with my classes will awaken the mysterious essence in your soul to express itself fully and in the way that only YOU can on this planet. After all, there is only one of you.
My photography is represented by Getty images and is shared in publications and on book covers around the world which just lights me up with gratitude. My writing and photography has been featured in several publications including Life Images, Artful blogger, Indian Se, Real Simple magazine, Hearst magazines International, Sunday magazine, Penguin, and Somerset Life magazine.
I live in a little house by the sea with my beautiful teenagers, Tess and Noah, and two dogs named Roxy and Romeo!
I am currently working on my book 'My Sweet Muse' ~ morning coffee and the creative life' ~ a guide to awakening your inner Artist.
